I was an Illustrator for about 25 years and have many of these illustrations as pieces in my picture file. Available from third-party sellers -- in this case, from the publisher himself, Bob Peak's son Tom -- the book is shipped in a carton with buffered edges that insures the corners won't be damaged. I was a beginning illustrator at the time Bob was at his peak (unintended pun).
That he was allowed and encouraged to do this many varied styles and techniques is a sad reminder of the glory days of the Illustration field and a sad example of what we all are missing in todays photoshop, selfie ,and computer generated material that today substitutes for the products of real artists actually doing art. Don’t miss out on a valuable, one-time offer. A copy edit of the text to correct spacing errors and fixing typos would have been a good idea too.
