If you are traveling to Tulum you should still exercise common sense when venturing out into the downtown area – Don’t walk around alone at night, lock your doors and be aware of your surroundings. Beaches and a long malecón (esplanade) border large swaths of the city. You truly won’t regret your decision. In the midst of all of this splendour is probably one of the safest resorts in Mexico – Cabo San Lucas.
