Interestingly enough, the in-game tooltip description for Exploration mode reveals that it’s actually the way in which Odyssey is meant to be experienced even though Guided mode hedges closer to what existing Assassin’s Creed players are already used to. I didn't even notice until I saw this post, that being said the compass could use some work. It’s not clear yet whether players will be able to freely switch between the two modes once they’ve started their game (our guess is they will) but no matter what it sounds like Exploration mode will be a welcome addition for players who want to be fully immersed and/or avoid the anxiety of seeing a map littered with incomplete activity markers.
