Now the countdown begins… SIRF20 is back on the 30th July and we are so excited to see you all. A major thank you for all the support you have gave us through the years! Over four amazing days we will celebrate some of the best performers and shows from the UK and across the world. Our feeds have never been so lively and that’s not just because of the Rajasthani Heritage Band, who were so outstanding that they even had me giving the classic two step to the beat. It was outstanding. Over the past 9 weeks we have been sharing with you a series of fun carnival inspired workshops for you to take part in at home.
The Festival is jam-packed with world class shows - from the magical and quirky performances, to stunning visual experiences, daring dance and spectacular circus - there’s a whole host of free, fun and family friendly entertainment for everyone. With a new year of SIRF means another wave of new Correspondents! You will hear from local and international artists, volunteers, fans of SIRF plus hear how SIRF has grown over the last 33 years. We have created this short film which highlights how the BMBF Correspondents have been involved over the past few years. This year we bring the joy of SIRF to you, in your homes.

Get groovy this week by joining Urban Kaos as they guide you step by step through our 1st Carnival dance workshop.. Have a go, learn the steps and share your groovy moves with us. As an experienced correspondent who is now doing this for a third year running, I feel old by saying that, I have been blown away by the creativity and personal touch that each correspondent is bringing to this year. As a group, we have the mission of trying to capture all the acts, even the ones you miss, from the perspective of a person living in Stockton-On-Tees.
