Yes here is also a religion biased presumption angle in a scene in the name of sensitivity. Worst movie, I don't understand what is the message that's being conveyed in this movie ! At one point in the film during a quick Pretty Woman tribute, Ranaut, like Julia Roberts in the 90s film, covets dresses she can't afford but, unlike Roberts, she's the one who singlehandedly raises the money, goes back and shocks the sneering shopgirl. She tries to save money and buy a house in the US but her father is not into it. Simran Review: The nice thing about Simran is that it ventures into an area where the Bollywood heroine offers no defence for being a badass. In a film that seems otherwise realistic and grounded, they come across as unreal and convenient. Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community. Nothing new related to other Bollywood movies which we have seen earlier. Dabaang looked more coherent than this one.
Sandeep Kaur, aka the Bombshell Bandit, from whose true story this film is inspired, was arrested after a long car chase and sentenced to imprisonment for 66 months. Of course, the phrase "traditionally a man's job" is anathema to Kangana Ranaut and the defiant characters she plays, which is why Simran - a story based on a real-life female bank robber - sounds tailored for the actress. Some people have been complaining the movie is slow - but that comes with the style of film-making director Hansal Mehta is known for - detailed and paying attention to the smallest of details. Ever since DDLJ released sometime in end'1995, the name Simran has been synonymous with a woman who wants to be unconventional, a woman who wants to break free & live blissfully.
Frankly, you can't emotionally invest in Simran or root for her as much as you want to.

Weak story no creativity, no suspense only drama Queen. Be it Simran’s fun-filled everyday chores, the rather comical bank robberies or her personal turmoil - none of it is established properly or carried forth in a consistent manner. "Ja Simran Ja" has been the most preferred word for girls who want to be freed from the social disgrace. very very smartly made and executed.
